The request is “Haloween is coming, show me something spooky”

Remember Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho House?  I built this version of the Psycho House in memory of my son Doug.  He was quite the practal jokester.  This would have been something he would get a kick out of.

This is what you will see looking through the windows above the porch.

This is one of my structures that will have random lighting installed.

Show me more Haloween spooky stuff.

Streamliners have been stalled for a couple of days, so here is an old photo of a HW passenger train rounding the roundhouse on the Boothbay Railway Village layout

Ed - Blown away! You can almost feel 70mph. Can you do the same scene with the Empire State Express?

Thank You, Douglas! Yes, I can put together the Empire State Express for you... stay tuned Smile

Now, on to a favorite scene... The tower operator is getting his pick of an early Christmas tree loaded into his truck.

Show me another streamliner. {Page Three Yes }

I sure hope some of you guys offer layout tours! (Ahem Ed, Grampy, Paine, Guy

An easy answer for me. The Boothbay Railway Village layout is open to the public whenever the museum is open, which is from Memorial Day to Columbus Day. We just closed for the season, but we have a work session every Thursday during the off season. Anyone visiting Maine can contact me about visiting the layout during this time. See the museum website for our location, and any special winter events or programs.

Now back to the request for another favorire scene.

This is one of my favorites on the Boothbay Railway Village layout. Women guests seem to get a chuckle from it...

ON my layout, this is a favorite. The guy trying to convince his wife to buy the sporty coupe instead of the practical sedan

I've looked over a number of my photos and have come to the conclusion that the train leaving the station is probably my favorite out of all of them.

More photos of favorites please.

This is my Bowser Big Boy the day before I sold it on eBay in 2012.  I assembled the Bowser kit in 1963 but rarely ran it on my Southern Pacific layout.  It was a great runner and I still miss it.

I kept it in a display cabinet in my office for 15 years.  It was a great conversion piece with visitors.  After I retired I decided to sell it to someone that would let it run on a UP layout and give it a good home.

More big steam please.

The most modern loco on my layout is a U-25B. MEC purchased a number of them from the bankrupt RI, and rebuilt them.
