Jim D McKerr [?]

[?] Anybody know a Jim D McKerr or might he be on this forum? [?]

Our paths crossed nearly 40 years ago when we were both Operating Department Management Trainees on the NYC. Jim was modernizing his model freight car fleet so traded several 40' box cars for a covered hopper that I painted and lettered for my road.

I've dragged those cars of Jim's all over the country (Cleveland-Pittsburgh-Delaware-Pittsburgh-Texas) since then. Thought Jim might like to know that his RC (Rochester - Canadaigua ??) cars are about to find yet another new home on another friend's railroad; the HNXT (http://www.wiringfordcc.com/xiety.htm)

Cefinkjr,
I did a search at the Members function in the blue header near the Forum Index above, and found 1 McKerr. He joined in 2001, but hasn't made any posts. You might try clicking on his name to send an Email via the forum. Or, you might try a couple of searches using name variants or old nicknames. The search engine isn't perfect. I did a search using my surname, and although it came up with two pages of others that included "barney," it didn't find my variant. Good luck.

Bob:

Thanks for the suggestion. I hadn't known you could look for members that way.

I found the same entry you did (of course) but there doesn't seem to be any contact information. Oh, well. It was a thought. Maybe a current acquaintance of Jim's will see this thread and let him know.

Thanks again,
Chuck
