To say the advertising is bordering on the monomegalomanian is understating the situation I think:

QUOTE: "Never before has the Model Railroad Industry created an exhibition like this. Don't miss this special once in a lifetime time[uh?] opportunity. THIS SHOW IS WORTH THE DRIVE FROM ANYWHERE IN THE NORTHEAST"

Oh, BTW, the show "IS EXCITING FOR MODEL RAILROADERS"

Anyway, I have cleared some time in my busy schedule for this world shattering event, and I wonder if others plan to also (and if someone knows of any caveats in regards to this).
1.) I see 16 and under is free, which is a good idea to help draw in the next generation of modelers...
2.) Those attending at NJ Expo center will be surrounded by the glorious Raritan Central RR, who's skill at marketing and expanding their rail freight business should be studied, implemented, and worshipped by the marketing departments of every other railroad (well, except for those like the Finger Lakes or the Morristown and Essex, who already are very clear on the concept)

Please give us a report after you come back. Hope the show isn't like many of the GATS shows that others have reported on - overwhelmed with non model railroad stuff like "beanie babies" and the like! [censored]
