Bachmann Made some Shay's as well,  they were an 80 ton 3 Shay and a 55 ton 3-truck Shay.

The OP is modeling N scale, Bachmann only made shays in HO scale.

I wasn't aware they produced these in N scale.

I don´t own one myself, but I know the Atlas Shay has been used for a number of conversions into a small HOn30 Shay and the folks who did it were quite happy with the performance of it.

You don´t mention the scale, so I assume you mean the Atlas N scale 2-truck Shay.

Take a look at this MR staff review of this locomotive here

Considering Purchasing A New Loco...

Hi gang. I've been kicking the idea around of buying an Atlas two truck shy and three or four log cars to pull with it which would fit right in with my layout due to the fact that it's covered with pine trees. Is there anyone out there that owns one of these engines and if so how well do they run?. Thanks in advance for any input.
