Body mount couplers on Kato coalporters

Somehow I missed your posting.I used the1023s on mine and they work fine on my 18" radius curves. I did trim the back of the coupler pocket some to get a little closer coupler spacing though.

Please post some pics when you are done.Another possiblity would be the MTL 905 Z scale coupler.They work just fine with the N scale couplers but are closer to scale size for N.

Since no one seemed to know I ordered the MT 001 10 001 in a 10 pair pack. I will let you know how they turn out.

Body mount couplers on Kato coalporters

I have 24 N scale Kato BethGon Coalporters. I want modify and keep the original trucks and install Micro-Trains body mount couplers. My question is which MT couples would be the best fit? I have 18" min radius curves, so I thing I could run either shirt or medium shanks. Anyone done this? Any adice?
