Somewhere in your driveline you are either disconnected, or stripped out.

Double (and even triple) check all driveline connections, and make sure all connections are made and properly fitting. Then see what is not spinning... Start inside with flywheels, then move out towards trucks. (One very possible source, the flywheels are not spinning, but the motor armature is still rotating. That will make a loud squeal. So will burnt out brushes, but it would still move then. Most squeals are from a metal on metal friction.)

Are both universal shafts turning with the flywheels?

Are they turning with the flywheels, but spinning in the worm gears?

And are You positive the flywheels are turning with motor running? Did You try to hold them? They should stop the motor if You did. If it doesn't, the flywheels are spinning on the motor shafts. Do a meticulous search of the entire drive line. That's what it sounds like from Your description.

Hi Guys n gals,

I have a loco, it's a SD 90mac, Union Pacific made by Kato, here's the problem, when I give it some juice it would squeal and not move, I have good contact with the track, meaning I have headlights, the flywheel moves, but the loco does not move,  what could be the cause????? thanks for helping with this matter..
