Could someone who had used the above mentioned Cleaning Car,
Let me know if it is a good buy for my layout. Does it do a good job on track cleaning?

I don't have one, but I've seen them in action, they do a really good job of cleaning :)

I've had one for about 4 months now and they work very good, especially the little vacuum cleaner. It really picks up a bunch of crap around the layout that you never realized was there.
Atlas recommends using a track cleaner by Aero Car Hobby Lubricants. (Available from Loy's Toys) This is the best liquid I've found for cleaning track. After you use it, you have to let it evaporate so the track is dry before you run on it. But it works great as does the Atlas Track Cleaning car.

Ditto on gtirr. Mine car works great. The vaccum really picks up the "stuff". I have actually created a maintencance-of-way consist to include mine for regular track maintenance. This makes for an interesting sight on the layout.
