Restoration of Pacific MEC 470
Posted by G Paine on Sunday, May 1, 2016 9:53 AM

Pacific locomotive MEC 470 was the last steam locomotive to run on the Maine Central. She was retired in 1954 to a static display in Waterville, ME. New England Steam Corp has been fund raising to restore her to operation. An update on the progress was shown Saturday evening on "Bill Green's Maine" on WCSH, Ch6:

She is scheduled to be moved from Waterville to a restoration shop in Ellsworth, ME next June.
