I would like to reach out personally an applaud Neils observation on the Craftsman kit thread posted here not long ago. Everyone has different needs and expectations, you really need to understand the product you may (or may not) purchase based on the amouint of assembly required.
This is a cottage industry, and many appreciate the value per dollar a craftsman kit can bring, hence the popularity and growth in this segment of the hobby. Thank you manufacturers.
I have built stick by stick, and purchased ready made, my desicions are based on my needs and timeframe. Perhaps I will go back and replace that RTR station with a craftsman kit in the future.
The end result is I have an operating railroad with structures, and as the saying goes, it will never be complete.
Thank goodness for that!
