I would give them a call and see if the store is interested in mail orders.

There will be no extra charge for long distence since the majority of today's  phones has a "call anywhere in the US or Canada" clause-this service is already being paid for in your monthly flat rate bill.

Sorry for your frustration, but the one time I e-mailed Ridgefield Hobbies about a year ago I got a response back within a few days.

As to why he hasn't responded to you I can't say, he doesn't work for me or the other way 'round.   And I don't live in that area so I can't drive over and ask.

Rest assured my original post in March was in good faith, I saw what I saw and assumed the shop owner would welcome a chance to move some old stock just gathering dust.

The phone number's on the website, maybe you should just call them.

Sorry I haven't responded sooner, since I don't do HO or N I don't come to this site very often, just once in a while out of curiosity.

Ridgefield Hobbies of Ridgefield, New Jersey, Athearn and MDC Roundhouse Blue Box Kits in Stock
Posted by L N W on Saturday, April 16, 2016 3:52 PM

Noticed this posting several weeks ago, that this firm had a ample supply of both Athearn and MDC Roundhouse Blue Box Kits, collecting dust on their respective shelves.

The posting was by a FireLock 76.

Well, two(2) e-mails to them within two-weeks, with a automatic reply that message was received.

Had listed six (6) items of interest, with kit numbers, if in stock.

Poster 76 did mentioned that the firm WOULD GET BACK and answer e-mails.

Not true and still no answers.

Was this a legitimate posting or a wild dog chase???
