With the demise of O scale in the 1950´s, Marcel Darphin was one of the very few who kept on promoting this scale in Europe. He had a great collection of O scale trains, which was sold last year. For many years, Darstead - the business he founded - remained the only source for O scale equipment.

We owe it to people like the Marcel that O scale model railroading sees a tremendous resurrection these days, not only in Great Britain, but also Germany, where Bernd Lenz made the bold move of re-introducing this scale. Bernd Lenz, owner of Lenz Elektronik, is the "inventor" of DCC.

Thanks for sharing this video!
