To my knowledge, the only company to ever produce the original (pre-Amtrak) auto-train in its 1970's red, white, and purple paint scheme is Bachmann. The Bachmann N scale 75 foot auto carriers that auto-train bought from CN are getting harder and harder to find 40 years later. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might build a believable model of these cars? I don't have any ideas for how to make the sides of the cars, which had 21 side panels on each side.
