I'm having difficulty understanding the second page of the instructions from NWSL. It says to move the plastic keeper on the axel as far away from the bevel gear as possible, but this seems to cause the gear mesh to be worse not better. I haven't started putting the new bevel gears on yet (all my bevel gears have cracks and don't mesh very well anyway). To me it looks like there needs to be another washer/spacer between the axel gear and the bearings to move it closer to the bevel gear, moving the plastic keeper seems to do the opposite. Just wondering what others, that have done it, found to give the best meshing.
