Nice trucks!
Dave
I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
Yeah, kinda figured something like that at this point. But, I like "phantom" models.
Not going to far off topic I hope, here's one I built, a 1985 Dodge "L700" service truck, based on a van. Click on the picture to see more of it if you wanna see more.
And a '65 Dodge ACF 100; say Dodge copied Willys forward control pickup idea...
Have fun with your trains
Well, if that's a photoshopped hoax, I fell for it hook, line and sinker! And I still intend to build it.
I usually have a good eye for these things. Oh well!!!
Thanks for the replies! (and links)
Edited in... I went back and looked at the photos again and then did see the tell-tale signs, and maybe a few other subtle giveaways. I hafta laugh a little at myself, and feel just a bit "had".
Still, as I mentioned above, I might as well go ahead with my 'bash project. I like the looks of the little beastie. The Aristocraft model's sideframes make more sense for a critter of this type and size. Progress will be posted. The yolk's on me!

On the other hand this one on a three axel truck is real:

and heres a two axel shop switcher

I tried to sell my two cents worth, but no one would give me a plug nickel for it.
I don't have a leg to stand on.

If you go to the page it came from originally, http://www.tycoforums.com/tyco/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=8257&whichpage=3 it's one of two fanciful Photoshopped diesels by the same guy. The photo of the Penn Central version was less well done, and is more obviously a 'shop'ing when you compare the "cut-down" diesel to its grainier background.
One of the tip-offs is that the part of the locomotive that was removed is the part that contains the engine itself.

I know aristocraft makes a larger G scale model similar to this 1/1. But I can't find any 1/1 pictures of the rear of the prototype's cab. Does it have a bump out like on the Aristocraft model? (like this link):

If anyone knows where to find pictures, it'd be really appreciated! Thanks. Dan
