Help with Model Power Train sets circa 1988
Posted by arganel on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 1:45 PM

Hello, I have come across two Model Power train sets that appear to be circa 1988.

One is The Cannonball Express (#1047-2) and the other is The Main Line Hauler (BN - #1039-90).

I am interested in learning which cars came in which set.  The Cannonball engine is #5601 Alco FA-2 Santa Fe and the Main Line Hauler is #6834 Alco 1000 HP Yard Switcher (BN green, made in Yugoslavia).  There are duplicate 9125 red safety caboose and 8033 40' Michigan Alkalai tank cars, one 8051 40' Penn Central hopper, one New Haven 40' box car, one Maine Central 40' box car.

All are still in original boxes, and were used only around the Christmas tree for a few years.  They were shipped directly from Model Power (UPS labels still intact).  The owner is not interested in selling however is interested in the approximate value.

Thank you,

Tim
