Welcome to 13 News, I'm Abbot Tolie
In the news , A dustball found it's way in front of the morning Bullet train at
East Falls causing it to come to a sudden halt. No injuries have been
reported , but the dry cleaning bill will be in the millions. One eyewitness,
a Ms. Snottynose gave us this account-"Jus as wees bout ta fetch eggs, I
wan ta sip kwoffees an gots wained on by likwids.I's alwedy hada bath but
wanna those eggs. An alla sudden it all stopps an driver says we hit dust."
And another passenger has this to say," I'M GONNA SUE ALL YALL [censored]
FOR THIS." We have not reached comment from Amtrak as of yet.

An F40 , E C R #421, and 4 of it's cars slammed into a substation today and
wrecks weeks of work. Apparently , the cause of collision is due to control
confusion brought on by the engineer at the helm. The conductor , upon
surveying damage, had this to say-" SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT !!!" Sources tell 13 News
that a new substation is in the works but may take a while.

A logger today reports that a mysterious ,GET THIS FOLKS, Giant Hand came
out of the sky and crushed the forest he was in." The trees are flat and some
are twisted bad and others broke, Planting again will be difficult." It is noted
that this same logger phoned us about an ELBOW that blocked out the sun
a month ago.
And now for your weather forcast in the E C R area, here's Tiles White.
Thank you Abbot.
Today you can expect it to be colder at ground level but not much of a change
here at the 48" elevation point. Expect a 60% chance of ceiling dust to fall on
us again with many periods of heavy rumbling from upstairs. To us HO folk,
be careful on your commute. Back to you.
That's our news. Stay tuned for " The Big Man in the Room."[:)]

***FLASH***
GLOETOWN TOWN MEETING TURNS INTO A BRAWL

A town meeting held this afternoon at LOEW's cinema turned into a free for all over the plan expropiation of some land by the G&L RR to setup a terminal railroad in support of local industries. The mayor of Glowtown said she supported the plan because it will bring prestige and new jobs to the town. But local land owners do not agree and have launch litigation to have the project stopped. Said M.E. Gabucks "we don't need no stinking railroad". Although a few punches were exchanged, no arrest were made.

Here is an update to the investigation surrending the disaster at Edam Station a few days ago. Architect Keith Westra is now available for comment, "I am sorry for the disaster that killed those people, but I cannot take full blame for the tragedy. Dr. Joel Westra, Ph.D., my brother, built the original part of the station that collapsed. I was told the original part of the station was structurally sound when I made renovations and increased the platform size." Trial date for Mr. Westra has not yet been set, although he may get off on insanity since he still believes the year to be 2004, rather than 1953. As for the unnamed victims, platic mannequins painted in their liknesses have been installed in their honor. Mr. Homer J. Bigglesworth, owner of the local tavern went on record to say, "I really can't even tell they aren't real." However, Mr. Bigglesworth has been known to drink most of his profits...

Update: layout town in uproar several witnesses reported seeing a ufo flying around in the area near the Mayor"s house.Although reports are sketchy at best on the discription,One eyewitness was quoted as saying kinda black with buggy looking things hanging from the front. He also said {That Thing was as big as a buick.I know my grandpa had a buick} John J Eckelminersmith owner of the local bargian outlet J"s Pickeled Pigs Feet and Video Barn, said he hasn't seen the mayor in several days since he rented the movies Men In Black and It Came From Outerspace. He also said Hey I need my Movies back.Officials from S.E.T.I. have been riding along with local train crews in hopes of seeing or making contact with what ever has been seen in Tunnel #2.One of the head engineers said I don't mind all the fuss,I don't even mind all these smarty pants types on my train, But they better get that antenna looking thing off the Cab of my Hudson. In related news the annual parade to honor layout towns most famous resident Orson Wells has been postponed untill futher notice.

Does the ASA know of this mishap? I would ask about OSHA, but with all the temporal storms raging, they may not be able to respond in a timely fashion. :)

In other news, Edam Police are still investigating an incedent that killed all but one man at the Hulst Corner freight/passenger station. People on the platform were posing as their normally docile architect showed them off to a guest. James J. Hill, the sole survivor, reports that at this point part of the building came lose in the architects hands and the entire platform and structure began to fall. The architect caught the building, but part of the platform broke off and parts were strewn accross the concrete substrate below. Mr. and Mrs. William Smith along with their daughter Rachel were found later already exhibiting rigor mortis in an interesting seated position. The stations porter, Randolf Jones, was also found decesed, but still faithfully clutching his bags. Three other individuals were found dead, there names have yet to be released. Repairs to the station are already complete, however, two lights are still missing. According to Mr. Hill "I'm sure glad the station wasn't as full as will be in the future. I'm just glad to be alive really, must be my nice big feet and good gluing. I'm happy to say the freight side of the station needed little repair. I guess it helps that crates, etc. have large gluing areas" Mr. Hill went on to say "I can easily see how this sort of thing can happen. The kid only graduated High School in what he says is the year 2002. He won't even have his Masters in Architecture for a few years yet. I really think he's lost it, after all, its 1953" Historians report this is the first such incident in Edam and, hopefully, will be the last. In other news, the Curtis Candy compandy, makers of Baby Ruth, reported part of their building split apart at some point and was quickly repaired.

WOW! That paragraph is really imaginative--including the word forms. The sheriff might have been on the right track checking for "consumption."

How about a paragraph A little story about you ,layout ,train maybe some experience you have had pertaining to the hobby Real or otherwise.Let your imaganation be your guide or not.
News flash: as the cold weather has begun to settle over much of our fair county we have been plauged with a string of unexplained ocurrances. The stop sign at county road 1 and 2 has come up missing.Several farmers in the area report hearing a strange buzzing noise in that area early yesterday evening.Sheriff {Willee Big Jim }Jack. was quoted as saying I Think ITs Aliens. Also reported MS Matilda Bunsrwrinkled claims something crawled up the side of her house and was peering in the window at her,she was treated for shock and was overheard repeating I AIN"T NEVER,as they led her away . A Local train crew reported seeing glarring Green eyes ,or was it red eyes as they entered tunnel #2 on the south bound Central West Virginia main. They were both checked for alcahol consumtion by the NTSB.Mayor and local postman Carl a Hammerdknuckle says people are pretty shaken up around here the only noise we are use to is the sound of the trains passing by.He was last seen rushing home with his rental copies of Men IN Black, And IT Came From OuterSpace.
