Just came off the E-Bay site and noticed a hobby shop had posted a bunch of ads for the Broadway Limited Great Northern S2 4-8-4's. At Long Last

They used the pictures straight off the BLI site so can not comment on exactly what the new Hybrid locomotives really look like, the pics being taken off the site might be pre-prototypes and not reflect exactly what the S2's look like.
I am betting that these engines will get good reviews judging what is available in pics and video from the BLI site.
I can not remember when the S2's were first supposed to be manufactured, whatever the date it was quite a while back.
I did sign up for one of these, had way back when ordered two but when the news was released that there not to be built I decided to only order one. I do have a portion of my layout modeled on the CPR and GN areas of Southern BC, Alberta and Northern Montana. So I model CPR, CNR and GN railroads.
While I do not really need any more steam engines I will certainly acquire at least one of these, having waited for quite a few years for this particular locomotive.
The only other Steam locomotive I will most likely buy now will be those released by Rapido as they announced recently. An not resist as they will be the most popular of the Canadian steam era.
