Thanks Bill!
Yeah, most of my problem is that I kinda need to see what the scheme of the items is. I have this huge discounted list of MDC/RH items, and I cannot even begin to decide what I want to buy because there is a lack of identification for it. I talked to a few dealers about my list, they looked it over, and said without a reference of some sorts, they haven't a clue as to if the cars would work in the modern period, transition or steam. When I asked Roundhouse if they would help, they said they would not. So, it kinda left me a bit sour toward them.
I managed to get a photo type reference for Athearn, but I struck out with MDC/RH.
Thanks again.

Wolv33 - The Walther's site can be a little tricky to use. What you need to do is click on manufacturers to get MDC's number (it's actually Model Die Casting, by the way) which is 480. Then do a search for HO, freight cars, using that number as the manufacturer. There looked to be a lot of entries, and pretty good descriptions, but not too many pictures.

Geez,
Lighten up Gregg, it wasn't meant the way you took it. It was in fun...NOTICE the "LOLs" in my text.
Anyhow, Walther's was the first one I checked. They do not show hardly any of the car pics on their site, in fact if you look up Roundhouse or MDC in their search engine, it gives you a "Sorry we cannot find what you are looking for" error. I also have emailed MDC Roundhouse, and they were less than helpful.
When I ask a question on here, I never expect someone to "snap" to my fingers. I am appreciative of all the help and advice I get on here, regardless of the time it takes to get it.
But, if I offended you in some way, I am deeply sorry. Thanks for your input.

Ever heard of Walthers??? Try their catalog. MDC Roundhouse cars are in the N scale one, so I assume they would be in the HO one as well. The cars are probably also illustrated on the Walthers website as well, but I have not checked it.
I almost did not reply to you after that diatribe about no one answering your question on YOUR timetable. The world does not turn on its axis to serve YOU!

Well this is a first. Having to reply to myself isnt helping much, and seems kinda dumb. LOL!
So NO ONE knows? Hmmmmmmmm...
There has got to be an online site or something where one can see pics and stuff of Roundhouse freight cars (other than MDC Roundhouse site). Geesh... LOL!

MDC Roundhouse Freight Identification

Hi Everybody,
I am very frustrated by MDC Roundhouse not to have some kind of an identification guide or catalog to indentify their car types and schemes when purchasing. I have talked to a few dealers who have had the same problem, and thus were forced to discontinue their Roundhouse stock due to having to order blindly.
Does ANYONE have a source, other than Roundhouse's website, for their car types and schemes (pics or drawings) referencing their stock #s, so a person can purchase without having to worry about getting the wrong item or an item that doesnt seem to fit in with their time period on their layout? Thanks in advance.
