Good causes!

I'm just a dude with a bad back having a lot of fun with model trains, and finally building a layout!
It's always good to donate if you can. I donate to Wounded Warriors when I can and Volunteer at the local VA. talking to vets coming back from combat. They like to talk to somebody who knows what they went thru. I'm there to listen and give them advice and friendship. The age difference does not matter, we are part of the band of brothers that served in combat.
For everybody here please help our vets, they need us now.
Nice job donating and encouraging others to follow ! Given that it's the 'giving season' another effort related to trains is Operation Lifesavor. http://oli.org/
Dave,
Thanks for being an important part of keeping us looking good.

Modeling the C&O New River Subdivision circa 1949 for the fun of it!
Hi everyone:
I have received a lot of help from fellow forum members over the past year, and most recently in particular. In addition to saying thanks to everyone I thought I would go a little further, so I just donated $50 to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation on behalf of the MR forums. I got a little bonus by using my Visa card because Visa is kicking in $1 for every $2 donated so the donation works out to $75 in total.
Unfortunately I won't be able to share the tax benefits with you!
