Microscale won't be making any more Metra decals

That is saddening.

I modeler I exchanged emails with was interested in refinishing a number of HO double-decker cars in the Metra scheme with an Alclad II "Stainless steel" type finish. I hope that he didn't procrastinate and went ahead and purchased his decals.

I wonder if Metra is aware that it could pursue a similar arrangement that Union Pacific made a few years ago in which Mike Wolf of MTH Trains was involved?  From what I vaguely remember, everyone was satisfied with the agreed outcome and the model manufacturers didn't have to fork over a hefty chunk of the (already small) profits that they earn.

This is what I was told I believe this Road name is restricts due to Chicago Metra wanting licensing fees.
