N scale is coming along. Ten years ago almost no one had sound-equipped N scale engines. Now it's booming.

I was pretty impressed by the reviews I saw. Looks like a pretty impressive offering in such a little engine. I'm still debating about the scale I want to pursue, but if n-scale can provide that level of offering, I might be leaning that direction.

That would be tough to do.

Thanks for the review.....  I guess we can say that it sounds authentic.

Note to all manufacturers:

In future releases, please write into the software the ability for the consumer to shut off the turbocharger.  The high pitched whine is extremely off-putting and makes the attractiveness of any onboard sound equipped turbocharged EMD diesel very low given their MSRP, IMO.

IOW, please provide the consumer with a choice to forsake "authenticity" in exchange for sanity...Big Smile

I super detailed mine. I added the following:

-windshield wipers

-air hoses

-brake hoses

-Atlas knuckle couplers (closer to scale than the oversize Bachmann couplers)

-BLMA see-through radiator fans (five of them)

-separately-applied grab irons

-engineer figure

-conductor figure

-shaved down the height of the locomotive by 0.5mm by grinding down the frame where the shell sits.

Thanks for the review..The sound isn't to bad..While its not a perfectly detailed engine it does fill the RTR DCC/Sound market.
