Making the right choice
Posted by Mr Stucky on Saturday, November 28, 2015 1:38 AM

Hello Everyone.

I'm planning on building my first layout soon 4x8. I haven't quite figured out an era yet, as I'm stuck between steam & diesel. I've been browsing the walthers site for ideas & I'd like to have everything on my layout, just like a kid with all 31 flavors at baskin robbins. I have an early 1980's OO scale trainset from England, which still works.  I'd like to use what I have except the closest dealer is in Vancouver, Can & is having distribution problems with suppliers etc. The closest dealer for my brothers Fleischmann train is in Vancouver too, but that'll be another day of questions.

I'm leaning towards brand new equipment either purchasing bachmann dcc kits, walthers or athearn that are dcc equipped in HO scale. I'd like to model a coal mine, or the oil industry yet it can really be anything a person likes.

That's it for now
