The best deal you can get is having friends in the States who will shop for you and send what you want over. I also used to visit the States a lot on business and for holidays. But..... considering the $ to £ current rate, it's worth going on holiday to the US and taking a shopping list with you. Air fares are cheap, motel / hotel rates are really good and food is cheap and plentiful. And the people are fantastically friendly.

i was wondering if any of you know of somewhere that does relativly cheap international postage on rolling stock as the dollar is doing so badly i think this is a good time update some of my models. i am after a rake of heavyweights and perhaps a N&W J class. also i quite fancy some of those bombardier doubledeckers from athearn......
i can buy things in this country but they always markup the prices.
i think trainworld want about $30 to post to the uk.
any advances on $30?
