OK folks, me bad. Upon closer examination, the pins ARE there. I just did not feel them. I used a powerful magnifier and was able to see them. Not to try and put them in!

Thanks for enlightening me.

Part 17 has little nubs on the two lower corners. These are what snap into the pivot points on the platform frame. Did you possibly cut them off in freeing them from the sprue?

I am assuming you mean the HO scale one Part # 933-3049, not the N scale??

I built the HO scale one a few months ago. The part 17s do have pins, but they are small. They fit into dimples on the #15 supports. I do not remember how they were attached to the sprue.

The pins are fragile, and a number of them broke during installation and I had to glue them. This is not a problem as most of the time only a few walkways would be in the down position.

Note, I had limited space on the ends, so I had to kitbash the stairs to fit better.

Bruce,

Did you try contacting Walthers directly about this?

The ice shed is built and I am baffled by the platform assembly. The instruction sheet says to snap in the "walkways" part 17. My part 17s have no pins to snap into the hinge holes. Do I have the wrong parts or what?
