Hi, Cedarwoodron,
Our advertising manager assures me that we have never done business with any outfit called "Mobadvertising.com," nor would we want to. We would much rather have you enjoying our Forums than cursing at ads.
I suspect your phone has become infected with adware. Check with your mobile phone provider for their recommendation of a site or app that can scan and remove it. Good luck!

cedarwoodronTonight I was on the MR Forum website using my mobile phone, for only a minute when my screen was hijacked by "Mobadvertising.com" and could not return to the MR website.
I suspect Kalmbach has nothing to do with this. On phones, many carriers install all sorts of kludgeware, but usually primarily an issue with non-iPhone services, like Android and MS phones. The new iPhone OS has ad-blocking available, so it is getting to be a universal annoyance.
In any case, it's tied to the browser on the phone and was very unlikely to have any connection to Kalmbach, who I'm pretty certain like most .com websites prefers you spend your time viewing their ads when visiting here.

Adblock and Ghostery might help you also.
If you ever fall over in public, pick yourself up and say “sorry it’s been a while since I inhabited a body.” And just walk away.
Download the CMSecurity app and use it on your phone. It's free and rated #1 as of July.

Tonight I was on the MR Forum website using my mobile phone, for only a minute when my screen was hijacked by "Mobadvertising.com" and could not return to the MR website. I have encountered this on other national news websites, as well as "Adblade" ads for Fuze energy drinks, among others. I realize there are ad blocking software apps that might offset this, but I sincerely hope that Kalmbach is not doing business with such advertising vendors, as they work in such a way as to deny a reader access to the content he or she has selected. In effect, it acts as an electronic censor. Our hobby nows thrives as never before with our ability to interact on MR forums- I hope that that will continue without adverse impacts by boorish advertisers unrelated to our hobby.
