I have some modern shots but these are of various older vintages. In the late 70s it was 2 weeks from being torn down. Oakland saved it as their landmark #1 There is some information on my web site. I remember the late '50s and the "wobbly" had a nice looking depot on 2nd or 3rd street in Oakland, CA. close to Jack London Square. Probably got replaced by the Amtrack. Every one of us SP workers used to almost stand and salute the outbound Zephyr, with reverent awe for its beauty. jc5729 Reply wpsteve Member sinceAugust 2004 88 posts Western Pacific Depots Posted by wpsteve on Sunday, November 21, 2004 12:10 AM I am putting together a presentation on the WP Depots and am looking for any photos etc you may have...
