Hello All,

To be correct...

Cinco de Mayo is the Mexican version of "The shot heard round the world." This holiday, despite what many think, is the celebration of the Battle of Puebla, the beginning of the Mexican revolution against the French occupation of Mexico.

"La dieciséis de Septiembre" the sixteenth of September commemorates the day of independence for the Mexican people.

Feliz la día de independencia por todo los Personas del Mundo! (Happy independence day to all the peoples of the world!)

Hope this helps.

Thanks, Dave.

I recall living in Detroit and watching the joint (US and Canada) fireworks display over the Detroit River with Detroit and Windsor particpating. It is wonderful US has such a good neighbor on its northern border.

A much belated Cinco de Mayo to our friends south of the border, Donald Trump notwithstanding.
