The last June request was "Show the smallest steam loco on your layout"
This is the smallest steam locomotive in my roster.
Please keep on the smallest locomotive in your roster.

Modeling CNR in the 50's
This is a Bachmann 0-6-0 switcher, which is the smallest steamer I have running as yet. I have a Mantua 0-4-0 tank engine but it needs paint and couplers and details and a nice photograph before I can boast about it.

0-6-0, don't really run it but it's there...
Show me some mining ops.
Adam Thompson Model Railroading is fun!
One of the old Pola/AHM coal mines:
Please show a Fairbanks-Morse diesel.
A FM H10-44 on switcher duty in yard.
Show me an Alco diesel, please.
A pair of Alco RS-11s that would never run on the NYC! Sold to the D&H shortly after delivery await repainting in the Colonie Shops.
Show me your best passenger locomotive...
My best passenger engine is a pair of BLI E7's on the right in the photo. The other pair is Proto 2000, and they certianly are good locomotives, too.
Please show your best freight locomotive.
PS ... gmpullman ... I really like your shop scene. I wonder why NYC sold its new Alcos.

Best Freight locomotive,..... that's a hard one but I find myself coming back to run this Kato SD40-2 time after tiime because it is sooooo smooth. Besides, I like red! :)
Please show me another 'favorite locomotive, freight or not.

Heartland Division CB&QPS ... gmpullman ... I really like your shop scene. I wonder why NYC sold its new Alcos.
Hi, and Thanks, Garry!
I like that shot, too. The interior looks massive since I managed to get a low-angle shot. I have redone the lighting after this shot was taken so the bare bulbs aren't hanging out in the open.
There is some discussion about the NYC/D&H RS-11s here.
http://www.railroad.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=83&t=45485
I bought a pair knowing that they didn't run on NYC but I did find a photo of them in lightning-stripe so at least they DID exist as such.
Thanks again, Ed
This is my favorite loco that I have not put a decoder into yet. A Stewart F3 MEC 683 that I painted and decalled. One reason is my wife's dad was an MRC engineer and he ran locomotives like this
My favorite with a decoder is a factory paint Stewart F3 MEC 671 A-B. It was the first one I installed a sound decoder

George In Midcoast Maine, 'bout halfway up the Rockland branch
A true favorite of mine because it´s an unique model: a Yugoslavian class 51 2-6-2T steamer in the 50s/60s livery! Model has DCC, sound, lights, smoke & runs extremely well!
Show me non-US/non-Canadian steam!
Almost 48 hours and no "non-US/non-Canadian steam". So back to a favorite. Here is a CNR 2-8-0 Consolidation.
Show me a favorite diesel or steam locomotive.
"Show me a favorite diesel or steam locomotive."
So what do you have against "Heavy Electrics", Guy?
Here's one of my favorites, among many, but these beasts are unique, too!
More favorite locomotives, please!
I have nothing against Heavy Electrics.
Very nice modeling. If it was not for the coupler, it would be hard to tell this is a model.
Back to gmpullman's request: "more favorite locomotives, please!"
It's been almost a day, so I will jump back in to get things moving
This is my favorite small locomotive, An HOn30 3D printed boxcab I built for Boothbay Railway Village
Show me a train from a railroad in New England (USA) or Olde England (UK)
My father used to commute out from Boston to Wayland MA on a train very much like this. We used to drive to the station and wait for his train to come in. For this one, the locomotive is an IHC Mogul, close to the B&M B15 that pulled the commuter train. The coaches are Pocher and Roundhouse 40 footers. The open platforms and truss rods are prototypical. The B&M wood coaches were 60 footers rather than 40 footers. This is an older photo, I have ballasted the layout since I took this photo.
David,
What is your request?
Guy PapillonDavid, What is your request?
About 2 days and no new request, so to move on...

Here's N&W 611 leading an excursion towards Horseshoe Curve. Hopefully this scene will be prototypical soon.

Here is an N Scale Conrail hauling boxcars Southbound on an early fall day across an as yet unfinished section of my layout.
Please show us a congested/busy freight/intermodal yard.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I have some good news and some bad news. The bad news is that both engines have failed, and we will be stuck here for some time. The good news is that you decided to take the train and not fly."

DON ... Glad to see your post. I like your ConRail loco
Don's request was for a busy freight yard or terminal...
I bet somebody has that. Please post if you can.
Otherwise, please show a busy industry being served by a switcher.
My passenger terminal, freight yard to the left.
Please show an industry being switched.
An industry being switched:
NYC S3 #874 spots a grain box car as heavy freight and passenger traffic passes on the mainline.
Show me more switching action.
