Update: The roads are cut, in, painted, and striped. I'm glad it worked out. I'd post photos, but the scenery is a wreck.

I believe the connection to the main line is where that bumper is located.
Amtrak America, 1971-Present.
Thank you Carnegie Falls, and Bis although it isn't vey visable there is a 2-3 foot gap from the rear of the layout to the wall.
Status: Currently test fitting roadways.
Alex- your layout is looking good, but how do you reach the back side of the layout. I presume it is 4 foot wide.
Hi Alex,
I look forward to following the build. I'm at a similar stage on my HO 4x8 and I enjoy when people post lots of photos. Thanks for sharing.
So a little more info. The layout focuses on NYC freight and passenger operations, with both steam and diesel bring used. The layout is focused on the fictional Johnstown, NY being in suburban Buffalo. The main industry on the layout will be a two building Ford Motor Co. complex. The layout will also feature a depot, team track, a small downtown complex, and a few other buildings. Feel free to leave any comments, or questions and without further waiting here are the photos. This is the main view of the layout, you can note the depot foundation toward the rear of the layout, the team track near the front, and the Ford complex will be on the longer section of the spur with the team track.
So far the benchwork, tracklaying, and wiring are done. The scenery is up next, with the main road being the next step.

Hello everybody,
After almost 7 years of working on my layout, dismantling it, and starting again, I decided to make a thread of some sorts about my progress. WARNING: This tread will contain many pictures at times. I hope you all enjoy, and my next post will give some backround info on the layout.
