liked mentioned above, they will handle 18" radius curves,but be careful if you are using #4 turnouts.
Being old is when you didn't loose it, it's that you just can't remember where you put it.

The SD60, M series " will negotiate an 18" curve, but the overhang is substantial and it's hard to keep anything coupled to it". Per MR Dec 02
The SD60 per MR Oct 00 does not elaborate on the overhang, just it's slower speed.

That is good to know. I have an Oakway SD60 and a BNSF SD60M. Nice to Know can run them on my layout to.

I have a 4x8 with 18 rad curves and they run fine.

Well, I emailed Life-Like about their SD60s asking if what they say in the description "This locomotive is designed to operate on 18" radius curves." applied to just going around the turn, or going around the turn with cars attached without derailing them. The minimum radius on my layout is 20". Do you all who have these locomotives think that they would operate on my layout?
