Herpa Propane Truck Assembly Questions
Posted by FRRYKid on Monday, April 6, 2015 8:26 PM

OK forum friends, got yet another one for you. I need some help with the assembly on Herpa's propane delivery truck (6460). Unfortunately, there were no instructions that I could find. I have managed to figure out the side mirrors but I haven't figured out where the rest of the parts on the chrome spure or any of the parts on the translucent orange sprue go (or even if they are to be used). Any help anyone can provide to get this project off my list would be welcomed.

FRRYKid,

Without a pic', I can't help You. Herpa does not show that number in their vehicles. The only one I could find is a 6538, which would be self explanatory if you know trucks.....those are just add on parts, correct? What is the make of the truck? Kenworth, Ford, Etc.

The 6538:

Over the years Herpa had made a number of KW propane trucks; I have one that has an older style cab. Flat front hood, not as streamlined as the 6538 noted above. As Frank said, a picture would help

That's about a 1993 Transtar International....should have the mirrors, little square turn-signals for both front fenders that go above both headlights and that should be about it for the cab...other parts I would have to see. Should have been a gasoline engine...so no exhaust stack. Other parts may be for the tank.

Need to see the parts. Promotex Made the same truck/tractor in the 90's.

That pic and the description answered all of my questions. Thank you for all the assistance from the forums.
