Does anyone know of a good source for casting rubber to make molds? I know Micro-Mark sells it. I tried Hobby Lobby and they don't have it. They have mold making clay but no rubber for making molds. Any other stores that might have some in larger quantities?

You might try stores that sell stained glass for glass fusing. One aspect of that is casting glass into molds made of plaster investment. Part of that process is to make a mold for the investment out of latex or silicone rubber.

I've used the latex rubber from Woodland Scenics. I bought a bottle about 9 years ago from my LHS, and it's all I've ever needed.

It looks like Wallmart is selling Woodland Scenics latex rubber for mold making: http://www.walmart.com/ip/28939534?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=53&adid=22222222227019252903&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=c&wl3=52420382535&wl4=&wl5=pla&wl6=60254913931&v

I use Alumilite's own brand of HSIII RTV. You can get it in 1 pound upto 10 pound kits. Easy to use, has great tear resistance, reproduces every detail very nicely. I have hundreds of pulls from my molds and they are as good as new.
