An adhesive available at home improvement stores called "Weldbond" seems to be exactly the same product as Micro Crystal Clear, except the price and size of container.

As a glazing, apply exactly the same as recommended by Mark for the Crystal Clear.

I've made windows in autos using Krystal Kleer, so it should work fine on cab windows of an N scale geep.

Apply some to a toothpick and draw it around the edge of the gasket. Apply some more to the toothpick and draw it across the window opening. Set the shell so the window is laying horizontal and let cure over night.

It takes a bit of trying until you get the hang of drawing the film across the opening, but once you get it, it works quite well.

Mark.

I have a Life Like N Scale GP18 from the 1995 release. I successfully hardwired a Digitrax decoder in it and it runs pretty well and looks nice now that I installed a full pilot coupler conversion. My only gripe with it now is the window glazing. For whatever crazy reason they chose to mold the window/headlight inserts in a yellowish clear plastic. I painted and lettered the numberboards and the yellow still shows thru. I also cut off the headlight protusions and made new ones from Micro Crystal Clear. The headlights are also very  yellowish.

Has anyone had any success making windows from MCC? I was trying to think of a way to use the original window inserts as formers of some kind and put the MCC over them, then remove them. Thanks for any thoughts
