Timetables for your railroad
Posted by BroadwayLion on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 2:39 PM

I was cleaning out an office, and came across these timetables from my previous layout. Perhaps you would like to see them. I think that making timetables for your layout makes a nice handout to visitors.

You can click on the pages to enlarge them. The ads are for shops that existed on the layout, and all named after monks.

The only part of the layout that was modeled was the north-south track between Fornost and Bree, but there were staging yards south, east and west and all of the trains shown on the timetables did arrive and depart Bree on time.

I used string diagrams to time the trains out so that they would meet only at stations as my premise was that is the only places where there were passing tracks. The line beteen Bree and Archet was double tracked.
