Installing Kadees (or equivalent) on the front of BLI steamers (T-1, K-4, M-1a/b)

Hello All;
This is my first question so please be kind [:D] I am starting to collect BLI steam locos and after I bought 2 (T-1 and K-4), I realized that the front couplers are dummy couplers! [D)] Does anybody know what Kadee coupler fits these locos, and if there are any special installation tips out there, feel free to add those too.
Thanks!!

Also, check out Tony's Train Exchange (www.tonystrainexchange.com) They have had some articles on swaping those front couplers on the BLI models. It is under the Product News/Tech Bulletin link.

Try Tony's Train Exchange at

http://www.tonystrains.com/technews/news_locomotives.htm

Look for coupler installation.

The Kaydee Guide supplied only shows conversion for 4-6-4 Hudson and the SY 2-8-2 under Broadway Ltd.

I own both the M1a and the BLI's second run of the Heavy Mike 2-8-2... with that, I also have dummy coupler pockets on the front. One of these days I will tear it apart to get a kaydee on there.. never was much of a "Installer"

BLI is starting to install Kaydees on thier newer products. I am happy to see it happening. I just never understood why they never did install a $1.50 Kaydee on the front of a 400 dollar engine in the first place.
