Thanks for the answers. Bowser? I think I have heard that before and that would explain it. I just talked to them a couple of weeks ago about parts and signed in to their website. Also since I only check the email from my phone during the week I guess I am missing the sale. I will be sure and start checking on Saturday AM.

You guy's are right about the Bowser (English) folks they are awesome to deal with. If TTH are the same people I will be buying from them.

I have done alot of business with TTH in the past using snail mail and i had outstanding service. In the past few years by going online, i have had problems with them not having in stock items when they said they were in stock. I'm reluctant to deal with them.

Being old is when you didn't loose it, it's that you just can't remember where you put it.

I ordered from them for several years and was generally satisfied. However, they sent my last order to the wrong address. I had ordered from them last winter from my daughters place in Florida. This past fall, I ordered from them from my home in Michigan. I deleted any sign of the Florida address from "my account"! They sent me an order confirmation Email showing my correct "shipping address" in Michigan. A week later, I got a call from my daughter in Florida, saying a package had arrived for me. She went ahead and reshipped it to me in Michigan. The order confirmation Email said if there was any problem to contact them at their Email address. I sent them an Email telling them they had shipped my order to the wrong address, and they never replied. I know some say a phone call works better. But the instructions were to contact them at their customer service Email address, and they never replied. The least they could have done is to refund my shipping and handling charges, since my daughter had to reship the package, and pay for the shipping. I've spent several thousand dollars with them in the past couple years, and I will never deal with them again! A simple reply and refund of the shipping charges might have retained my future business. I now buy from M.B.Klein, which has better prices.

email us at customerservice@toytrainheaven.com. Umm, I did! And got no reply!

I purchase items from them several times a year. The last time I ordered from them they had to wait for the items and it took nine days for them to ship. No complaints though. Several times my orders were shipped by Bowser so I guess they are one and the same.

The "Cloud 9" link on the main site takes you know where. The direct link to their actual Cloud 9 sale website is:

www.toytrainheavensale.com

Generally they have good prices and service, and they're one of my go-to online hobby shops (MB Klein is the other). I've bought stuff from a couple of Cloud 9 sales in the past, but not since they created the new Cloud 9 website. I have an account for the main site, but haven't created one on the Cloud 9 sale site yet. I don't know why they don't/can't combine the two into a single website and account Confused

The "Cloud 9 Sale" is usually every weekend and is pulled on Monday which is why one of the responders did not find anything. Notice is given on Friday for the weekend sale.

I get their emails, too, and have bought things from them in the past and fairly recently.  You have to access the Cloud 9 sale from the link in the email. A few months ago they switched from sale emails that were about like War and Peace in length to the web site.

FWIW, I've purchased from the Cloud 9 site and even though I have an account with their main site, I had to set up another on the Cloud 9 sale site.

This past week they had an N-scale Athearn Big Boy listed for about $225.  It took a lot of self control not to hit enter on that one!

I have always had good experiences with them, sale or not.

And yes, they are English's Model Railroad Supply and Bowser.  Who knows, maybe one day I will head up there to see part of the Little League World Series and visit them.

Toy Train Heaven is, I believe, Bowser's on-line store, and I also get their e-mail ads.  If you don't want to receive them, there's an section to opt-out located within their e-mail message.

However, they do have some good deals, and they are a good outfit with which to deal.  If you're ever anywhere near Montoursville, Pa., it's well worth it to stop in - friendly and knowledgeable staff and an unbelieveable amount of things in-stock.  The brick-and-mortar store there is English' Model Railroad Supply, and I have, on several occasions, driven there from southern Ontario simply to browse (and buy) in-person.

Is this a recent thing?  If you go to their website, http://www.toytrainheaven.com/, and look at the left side categories, you'll see that Cloud 9 sale is one of the choices.  I don't see that they have anything on sale currently, so if you got a recent e-mail and are interested, I'd call them and ask what's what.

Toy Train Heaven is an internet store that I'm pretty sure is associated with English's Model Railroad Supply, http://englishsmodelrailroad.com/, and Bowser Trains, http://www.bowser-trains.com/hoemrrs/store/store.htm.  They have been around a long time.

Ive dealt with TTH before and found the experience to be a very nice one. The Lady receptionist who answered the phone (yes they use humans, not some impersonal insulting robotic phone answering service) was of utmost professionalism. She was extremely helpful. And handled my order the way "I" wanted to. THAT, is customer service!

As for your name on a mialing list, well, in todays society EVERYONE sells your info at the drop of a hat. Just visiting a site is enough to garner your info and you never know it is happening. A site that specifically asks you to "enable cookies" or to 'disengage your ad blockers' is definately a warning sign!

Youd be truely amazed at what goes on 'behind the scenes' with your computer and web sites. Problem is, unless your a savvy programmer, theres nothing you can do about it. Its just the way the Net works, and how crooks have mastered it.

Toy Train Heaven?

I seem to have been added to this establishments email list and I have been getting a lot of emails lately about a Cloud 9 sale. When I go to their site from the email I do not see anything on sale. What am I missing?

Has anyone here bought from this place? How was the experience? I am always looking for train stores to support. I also wonder how I got on their email list although I am not complaining.

Thanks
