This year's Christmas Wish List (How to ask for Something Special from your loved ones)
Posted by Fergmiester on Sunday, November 7, 2004 5:37 PM
Yep! Now that Halloween is over and the Christmas decorations are being hung in all our favourite stores it's time to think of "What we really need and want for Christmas".

So consider this your Christmas wish list site that can be quietly printed off and left inconspicuously in plain view for those who care about you or need something to start the fire on one of those cold autumn nights.

I'd like something that makes noise with my new Digitrax
a BLI Erie Heavy Mike or
a BLI TH&B Hudson would be nice
Spectrum 2-6-6-2
Decoders make wonderful stocking stuffers!

Regards
Fergie[:D]

Too late, I done gave my christmas gift away to a few little HO SD40-2's painted in Wisconsin and Southern Colors, arriving next week. Next year I will probably need this though.

As a suggestion, make sure you indicate what scale it is you want. Sure, what you want MAY only be available in one scale, but if your elves don't find it in their casual search, they may go for something "close" that's in a different scale. That's if its only in the one scale. What if its available in 2 (or more) scales? How about that Spectrum 2-6-6-2? Gotta have it, you get it, but do you REALLY want that "oh crap, this is the wrong scale" look to flash across your face when you open it up, in full view of your loved ones? hmmmm

Okay, now I can kick the soapbox away and toss my list into the cyberether...

All N Scale:

Kato SD70MAC Alaska RR
Kato AC4400 CP 2 Flags
Spectrum 4-8-2 Mtn - Southern
Quality airbrush

Budliner wins the prize. It's kind of like my favorite saying about beer: "The worst beer I ever had was WONDERFUL!" [:D]

I ask for cash, it's easier that way than saying "but I don't have a O scale train!" or "It's nice, but umm....I Don't use modern engines". so instead of hurting their feelings, I just ask for cash, works better in the long run.

i'd like a lot of stuff.

mainly $100 gift certificate for Walthers or something, like my mom would pay up to $100 if i bought from Walthers. just $100 would be nice for me. 2 right and 2 left turnouts. the dresser taken out of my train room so i can make a yard. a GP-- ATSF blue Warbonnet. some more BNSF locos, centerflow hoppers, and boxcars. a bunch of Railbox boxcars. some SOO Line hoppers. ADM hoppers. the Red Wing flour mill.

i really want to find some BN, BNSF, and SOO hoppers. also the BNSF and Railbox boxcars.

maybe an SD40 BN loco or something to.

Karlb: Excellent idea! You are a man among men!!

I think many of the internet sites also offer gift certificates. As does, I think, paypal.

I don't want any more "stuff"; I want more time to be able to work on the layout. Not going to happen, though (Napoleon Bonaparte: "Ask of me anything but time").

Time would be nice--REALLY nice. I have so much stuff, but there is never enough TIME. Of course, a BLI K4 would be nice...
