Hey guys

I had a good day. I went to a train show in Kitchener and found a Soo line GP-38 and a CN timetable that I have been asking for on the forum here for a while also picked up some aquarium gravel for my coal hoppers and it looks great. anybody else have a productive Sunday?

So did I, traded some misc. HO scale stuff that I no longer needed for a box full of Marklin C track, including 5 powered turnout, and 3 older Marklin freight cars. The turnouts alone are worth what I traded him, so I made out real good. Everybody loved the Marklin display layout, even though it was just track on blue foam, with a few Christmas buildings, but it will be in full german theme by this time next year. Cheers Mike

i had a very good day today. went to the train show here in erie and man at the end i was like a kid on christmas day lol. think all in all we were able to find and replace 3 locos out of 20 that were stolen 6 years ago. my dad was very happy finding 2 old riverossis steam enginesto replace his that was stolen. got some pretty decent deals today. total stuff at end was 20 locos atherans, bachman spectrums - pluses and riverossi most paid out was for a f7 a-b-b-a all powered units for $70. rest of the locos were $10-20. handleful of hopper cars few autocarries and misc items for track ect.

so was a very good day for my dad and I.

LGBF7: we saw your setup and my dad loved the steamer and the sounds. course that was the fist he ever heard sound coming from a steamer.

it was a crappy day today. got up around 1PM. watched the Eagles/Steelers game and Chiefs/Bucs game. went up to my room to work on my trains. added the turnout i got yesterday to the layout to make a spur to my grain elevator. i then went and did some homework and went back up to the trains and finished my elevator. also put together another accurail ADM hopper. i wanted to get a couple more kits done and get a start on the ADM elevator, but that never happened.

Odd that this topic came up today of all days. I responded to a burglar alarm at a factory in our "not so good" section of my district and the building turned out to be an old street car barn. (Chicago Surface Lines) Girder rail and single point switches are still in the brick pavement in front. I'm going back tomorrow to take pictures (being armed does have advantages at times :) Oh yeah, it was a false alarm.

Okay day for me. I watched a little football, built a kit, worked on an article... The day was beautiful here in Hoosierland. But they say it will be over soon. 29 degrees tonight!

Not too bad here either. Rained like a madman. Stayed inside with football on the T.V. found a track plan I liked and started drawing it out on the benchwork. Things might finally be coming together....

Pretty good. Played for Mass in the AM, went directly over to one of my LHS's and went bonkers picking up scenery material, then visited a Video store to see if any good classic westerns that I didn't have on DVD had been released (nope), then went out into the garage and started working on the latest mountain range (anyone who says that the scenery out here in the West doesn't need a lot of trees needs to have the point on their head filed down). Then went inside and watched THE QUIET MAN on TV, had a great time with it, went back out into the garage and did some ballasting on the track. Tomorrow, back out into the garage to continue work on the Tahoe National Forest. Can't see the train for the trees, ha-hah!

Tallerin, I saw those F's in the Erie scheme. Looked sweet. I almost picked them up, then looked at my railroad fund. It was alittle low so I nad to let them pass. I knew that someone would get them. Did pickup a couple of cars. One was marked $12.99 sold for $7.00. What did you think of the show? Remember that it will be held again next Spring

MichaelWD: the F's did look sweet and my dad couldn't resist them. I have been running them on my layout for the time being and man they run awsome. I thought the show turned out great were alot of great deals to be made there. As for the spring show we will be there too and hopefully be able to keep son from grandma so he can go too.

i had a good day...went to a wedding in san antonio and got to see a couple of trains coming and going back to houston...(except for the wreck on IH 10 ...three deer hunters rear ended each other and stopped traffic for about 1/2 an hour on the freeway)...was too tired to work on the layout but tomorrow's another day...
