I got one about a week ago. I think it is absolutely great. The sounds are super - the only negative is the whistle is set at a fixed timing - and the engine is very smooth. Drawbar pull is excellent. I am very satisfied with it. ONe of the best engines in terms of running and detailing, not to mention sound, that I have owned in the last 30 years - and that includes a lot of brass (which often looks great and runs like a wounded duck).

Looking for impressions on the new HO scale Trix Mikado. Thinking about getting a NYC one to convert to NKP #587. I have a berkshire tender sitting on sprung buckeye's just begging to be put behind a USRA light mike.
