Hi Pete!
Look mate I know that Athearn Make SD40T-2's in HO scale, but as for N scale I can't say! I would follow the advice of Lisa and Greg and just wait. Their should be one in the pipeline soon!

Rumors fly that Tunnel Motors are soon to be released by one of the manufacturers, perhaps E-R Models, the just released the Baldwin Sharks. That they WILL be done is indicated by the fact that ALKEM postponed its plans to make a modification kit. I'd say the odds are better than 50-50 there will be a tinnel motor by the end of this year. Unfortunately, I can think of hundreds of other models I'd rather see, like Baldwin switchers!

I admit this is not a direct answer, however if you go to Kato's website "katousa.com" there is a place where you can make a request for an N scale model. I guess if we got enough N scale Tunnel Motor fans together to vote on this, Kato might come through!?!

Does anyone know if there are any plans for an EMD SD40T-2 or SD45T-2 tunnel motor, to be made anytime soon in N scale. Kato or Atlas or Life Like maybe?? I've seen the brass models and they look excellent. They are expensive though. Does anyone have a review on those brass tunnel motors too? Anyone have any info, Thanks, Pete
