My other hobby/passion
Posted by jacon12 on Thursday, October 21, 2004 8:13 PM
is photography and Hannah, my English Bulldog, helps me with it AND trains. Although, from the look on her face, maybe O scale isn't her favorite, or maybe Lionel?

The 52 year old Lionel still runs also.

Great photo, I even like the backwards tender. Always loved the fact that Lionel would put out a 2-6-4 and call it a Pacific. And even though I'm a Maine Coon cat owner, Hanna is one beautiful English Bulldog.
Maybe you'll get some other hobby/passion listings on this post. Mine happens to be collecting classic movies from the '30's, '40's and '50's. LONG LIVE JOHN FORD!

I hope you don't mind that I removed the link picture from my quote. The picture is great.

I still have my S scale American Flyer UP 4 8 4 and it still runs.
It was a birthday present in 1955 so it is 49 years old this year.

My first HO engine of notable mention was the NKP Berkshire by PFM in 1969, and it still run great.

Woodworking--I have a complete shop.
Digital photography & video w/ Mac computers.
Some old cameras--35mm and larger format.
So many toys, so little time!
I used to subscribe to the theory, "He who dies with the most toys, wins!", but then found I was nowhere close to being in the top ten, so I'm cutting back.

My biggest other hobby is modifying and racing cars. I also like to garden. Quite a combination of hobbies.... model railroading, racing, and gardening.

Musical and performance stuff battles for space with the layout in my garage--I perform with an experimental-music/shock-rock band, and do costumes, special effects and DJing for a local midnight movie series at an independent movie theater. I have other hobbies, but they mostly go on the back burner for a live show, an opportunity to dress up like a monster and spray fake blood on people, or play with trains.

I'm also hooked on fishing

and though not a "passion" hotwheels (as modelrailroader71 reminded me), baseball and hockey cards (1970's and 1980's , and my everpresent skunk collection, all have a place in the house.

cheers, krump
