I know its been talked about before here and elsewhere. But what might be a
good way to get painted road names of the plastic f????

Not quite sure what you mean but ask UP they're really good at getting rid of Road Names

There are one or two recent articles on here and in MR that dicusses this. Just try the search engine and try either decal, paint or decal removal.

I was told you could paint directly over old decals and if you didn't want to see the old decal edges then swabbing with toothpaste and a q-tip would buff down the edges.
