I have n scale kato track with 1 lopp and a siding that branches off into 2 more ,question is do i add feeders to sidings if I what to do switching while train runs on loop or will this cause shorts ,Iam using dcc, any info would be great thanks

If you are running DCC, you shouldn't need to.

As stated by Marion you should not have to, BUT I do just to make sure that the sidings have power.  It is just an additional precaution to prevent unintended loss of power.

That's what is meant by "Power Routing" turnouts.  If you want the sidings to always have power, you'll need insulate the sidings at the turnout frog and add feeder wires to them.
