No new SD40's? oh well, there's still a lot of cool stuff.

These are the opinions of an under 35 , from the east end of, and modeling, the same section of the Wheeling and Lake Erie railway. As well as a freelanced road (Austinville and Dynamite City railroad).
pathetic thread. Really.
Don't we have better things to do than whine and complain like school children?

Looks like the one Athearn made in their Genesis line several years back or the older made done AHM/Rivarossi.
I checked Athearn webb page and the only thing I found was the tender.

rogertraBachmann flex track $8.00 for a 36" length and it's code 100 into the bargain.?????
Try not to laugh to hard but, according to Atlas C100 outsells C83 .
Did you notice the first restock from Atlas was C100?
Either way I'll stick with my Micro Engineering flex track and Peco switches.
Pretty overpriced in my opinion. Although the Berk in N scale and the HO mikados sound interesting and tempting.

The resin buildings are from Bachmann UK and are actually OO scale
NP SD45's with a suggested price of 250... I can pretty much assure myself I can get them for less. just like them IM F units that are coming up.

Bachmann flex track $8.00 for a 36" length and it's code 100 into the bargain.?????For $8.00 I'd expect scale rail, spike head details, tie plates, ties not all at 90 degrees to the centre line just like the prototype and ties that look like weather wood, not your usual shiney plastic brown. And nobody yet gives us all those details. :(
Not even the top of the line flex tracl manufacturers.

snjroy Yes, the HO steamers are interesting choices. I wonder how different the Climax will be from the one produced in the past. I also wonder if we can fix the old ones with parts from this new model. Simon

I'm glad to see the 2 truck Climax re-released, the 2-8-2 sound value steamer, the 4-4-0 with sound surprised me, although it's not in my era.
I was really expecting to se an N Scale K4 pacific in there since I just sent my old Minitrix off to be repowered. That's usualy how it works. But the Berkshire model has me drooling.

Doughless I'm HO scale...modern era. I don't like it when I read people complain about prices....here we go.....but...... A single stall resin engine house with a MSRP of......$159. Golly, I'm thinking that's a misprint. There comes a point where settling for painting and decaling and old shoe box makes a lot of sense.

Look at the MSRP on the 4-4-0 Americans, $300??? really? Even at a street price of $150 thats going to be a hard pill to swallow. Its getting silly these prices, I can remember when you could get that for under $70. its all the elctronics being added in, costs the MFR a few cents so they can jack up the price.
Have fun with your trains

OMG those stock cars are ACTION cars, the horses heads pop in and out like the old Lionel stuff from the 50's! I didnt notice that, thats a bit cheesy even to me.
No updated 70-tonner?
No factory HOn3 70-tonner?
I see PETA has finally arranged for windows in stockcars. Now that's a humane idea. Looks like fun until you're about 13 yo
The HO Pullmans look like they could be interesting once the pricing is adjusted. Anybody have any of those yet?

For myself there is two things of interest, Jack and Squat. Being in large scale I was hoping for more than just one reissue, oh well. For HO and N I'll let you guys hash out how good the pickings are.
BTW ...Notice which scale has been completely stiffed this year?
