CSX MOW Flats
Posted by DavidH66 on Saturday, July 5, 2014 10:31 PM

Saw a bunch of bright shiny and probably new yellow CSX flats which looked ike the kind seen in MOW trains. Are there any of these types of flats commercially made?

Do  you have a link to any pictures or road numbers, etc that can be used to see what you're referencing?

Aha, yep those are the 89 ft flat cars.

Athearn Genesis makes them. I have 6-7 of these, and they are great, very nicely detailed. Those standup hitches for trailers are optional.

Get them here: http://www.toytrainheaven.com/.sc/ms/dd/ee/42312992/Athearn%20Genesis%20HO%20F89-F%20Flat%2C%20XTTX%5E2FYellow%20%23153126%2C%20LIST%20PRICE%20%2439.98

I don't believe they are MOW flats. I can see them hauling containers and trailers.

The Yellow CSX flats are most definatly MOW flats (there is a small MW behind the number). You can see some with containers that carry supplies and parts for the MOW equipment.
