Valeriy Hello, I have W&R A-3 in my collection and would like to install sound decoder & LED`s lighting. I need realistic sound and lighting. What kind of sound decoder is the best for my project (QSI Titan, TSU-1000 Heavy Steam, etc)? What is the difference between golden white LED & sunny white LED & what kind of this LED`s better for NP A-3? Sincerely, Valeriy.

The two LED.s are quite different in "color temperature" with the golden-white LED having a color temp around 2000-3000 degrees Kelvin (incandescent) and the sunny-white being around 5,000-6,500. For steam locomotives, I use the golden-white, exclusively.

A ESU LokSound or Zimo decoder would also be a good choice. The Golden White LED has a more yellowish tint to it than the Sunny White, but they are practically the same thing just being called two different names.
The key to good sound is to use the largest speaker and enclosure you can fit into the model.
