A lot of great stuff again this week guys. Thanks.
Here is an old one from the BRVRR archives.
NYC Hudson #5335 takes on water at the Black River Engine Facility.
Keep the photos and ideas coming everyone. You always make WPF the best thread of the week.
Remember its your railroad

David B: I agree with JaBear - That trackwork is beautiful by itself...almost a shame that much of it will be covered by street. In the 1st picture(black background) - Is that tie just below the crossover still continuous between the left outside and inner rails,or is there a break in the copper I'm not seeing? (not nit-picking,just wondered if you left that in to see if we're paying attention...)
This is an outstanding WPF. ... Keep on posting the great photos, everybody!
Thanks to those who commented on my doodlebug photo.
Mike L... A narrow guage dooodlebug would be fun. So would a galloping goose.
Mike Middle Man .. Thanks. My layout follws 120' of wall, and backdrops have become a specialty because of that. I like your UP photo in "Show Me" thread. . I also have one of those shanties as you have. Your ballast looks just right.
Alex .... Thanks. The doodlebug is a modified Bachmann doodlebug. I re-powered it with a NWSL kit last year, and it runs flawlessly now.
Everybody posted great photos so far.

Attended a joint Garden State and New Jersey Division meet yesterday. These are great fun and a lot of good information and layout tours. Below is a pic from George Speidel's back yard live steam railroad.
HO-VeloHey Bear, Is it wintertime yet?
Cheers, the Bear.

Modelling the UK in 00, and New England - MEC, B&M, D&H and Guilford - in H0
Hey Bear, Is it wintertime yet? Winter usually means more modeling time.
I'm bummed, my old layout pocket camera went south this week, but WPF is the perfect place to do some cheering up.
Thanks and regards to all, Peter
Great job everyone!!!
Sam,
Nice work! You've got your priorities right. It's always somewhat tedious to do the remodeling first, but well worth it. I really like that railroady entrance door.

Well here are the beginning stages of the basement work to build the layout room.
First had to get rid of the "ugly Steps"
Then Build shelves: Then build the wall: Then Insulate the block walls and add drywall: To present of adding the metal ceiling. I wanted a "tin" ceiling but the budget could not handle that cost so I am using metal siding that goes on the interior of metal buildings.

OK trying this again:
It worked...... Now if the ceiling would go up that fast!

Good work from everyone this week. Waiting at the crossing.
middlemanSir Madog: Nice looking dock and train. Is that On30?
Yes, it is!
Mike - your Mikes aren´t bad looking either! Gee, I wish I had the space and funds for that!
Rick: That AA logo gives new meaning to "Onward through the Fog"
Terry: That's turning a basket case into a sow's ear, err, well it's DCC now Great job of resurrecting that classic.
Ulrich: If it's not in the water now, it must be good. Looks to be good to me
GP9-Man: Those Model Power items are now collectible. Love that haunted house. I may look one up for some forced perspective.
Garry: Giving me the Doodlebug Itch. I want to build a couple in HOn3 someday.
Jimmy: Looking good, nice and subtle...Oh, and great job on the backdrop
middlemanHaven't had much time to work on trains lately, but inspired by a thread mlehman (thanks,Mike) posted recently,I'm installing MV Products headlight lenses on my On3 engines. I drill a small hole through the silvered back of the lens, and install it in front of the existing LED.
Mike, I see headlamps done that way come out even better in O scale. Nice work!
Critter waiting for the main to clear so it can pull a car from the mill.
Karl
NCE über alles!
Bear: Good looking articulated!
Mike: I'm amazed at what you get done each week.
Rick J: Very nice work. Do you build cars for others,or do all these go into your own fleet?
Terry: Major project...'Hope you'll post a video when it's done.
Sir Madog: Nice looking dock and train. Is that On30?
GP-9_Man: I like that shot of the 4 track main.
Jimmy: Looking good. The flat is especially nice.
Garry: I wish I had your talent for blending backdrops with the foreground scenery.

Have a good weekend.

Here's some more of what I'e done. I'm focusing today's post to be some of my weathering work.
(My Model Railroad, My Rules)
These are the opinions of an under 35 , from the east end of, and modeling, the same section of the Wheeling and Lake Erie railway. As well as a freelanced road (Austinville and Dynamite City railroad).
Bear ... Your photo makes a nice start. Feel free to tell us about the locomotive.
Mike L ... Your buildings look real.
Rick .... Nice group of freight cars. I like the AA covered hopper because I like the AA logo.
Terry ... Your rebuilding a "basket case" looks like a lot of fun.
Ulrich .... I like the dock and the small steam loco
GP9 .... Your layout is progressing very nicely.
On my layout the doodlebug is at work on the branch line.

Bear,
Weekend greets to you. No sun here, I think rainy season has set in.
It helps to have a roof over you head. I built quite a few this week, starting with 5 "cribs" built from the Classic Miniatures "Red Light District." Only it's housing for workers here. Most went to a small development at Tefft.
The most rewarding project was building a rare R&H Enterprises kit of a restaurant that was located in Red Mountain. Why rare? They made this one kit and decided that was enough and retired. It makes a fine model, so I wish there were more. Here it is basically complete except for the smokejacks and interior.
I made a few modifications, as the right side will be a bar and the left a pharmacy. The most important one was the "beer door" to make it easy to get those kegs into the basement.
The new building was cause to move several others around to better positions in Red Mountain, opening up space along the tracks.
I did get a start on the interiors after getting the lights on. You'll have to settle for this version of the interior, as it's a little risque in there once your eyes adjust to the light,
Gidday All, Well after a clear blue sunny day the sun has set behind the hills, so too my reckoning the weekends here.
My week has been spent "Dithering over Decals" so here's an older shot thats been messed with.
Looking forward to the Really Good Stuff,
Have a Great One ffolkess,
