That is soo cool!
Is that the new way of the Railroads of telling us how the last of the Mergers are going to take place!
UP+CSXT=Union Pacific Railroad.
BNSF+NS=Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad.

I couldn't agree more. Especially with the runthroughs and borrowed power. I have seen and photographed quite a few odd combinations. It gives the modeler freedom to throw anything together and still chase off the extreme rivit counters!

Also, KCS and CP, then all class ones would be represented.

I've always heard that BNSF stands for "Buy Norfolk Southern Fast"! [:D]

Locos from other railroads are rare in this area but today I saw 4 trains, 3 had one unit from another railroad (UP SD70M and two BNSF C44-9W's).

You should see some of the trains that run on the UP Sunset Route through SE Arizona! I see locomotives from practically every railroad in the U.S. and Canada, as well as leased units from all over the spectrum. UP is running everything and anything they can get their hands on, they have so much business hauling containers loaded with products from China eastward. I have just been wondering if BNSF, NS, CN, CP, etc. are also as busy.

It took me a second to see what was so special about that photo, because I viewed it before reading all the posts.

I think the title of that photo should be:

"Pulling together!!!" or "The US national railroad"

Talk about foreign power! Just the other day I saw a CSX freight being pulled by an Alston GP50 and a BC Rail SD40-2! Didn't even know BC Rail (now CP) units still existed.........
