Do you mean IF they ever come out?  Don't mean to be mean, but good luck with Intermountain ever getting enough orders to produce the loco.  I modeled TCWR for 1.5 years but didn't have room for the scheme/theme in my new home.  The three locos I had custom painted are going back to the fellow who decorated them.

I've been modelling the TC&W. It is loosely based on the Granite Falls to Montevideo, MN section.  My first real project is modelling the TCWR 2004.  I started out with an undecorated low nose, non-dynamic brake Proto 2000 GP18.

It is nearly completed, with the excpetion of a few decals, lights, plows, dynamic brake fan, and exhaust stack.

ckape

I think the main problem is that none of the prototype locomotives the TC&W operates are stock.  Right now it's all Caterpillar rebuilds and ex-Kennecott GP39-2s, and before that it was CF7s, GP10s and SD20s.  Athearn makes CF7s and the GP10s are coming, but the current TC&W roster requires kitbashing.

That is definitely true. I forgot to mention that model is a "fantasy" locomotive. I also hope to get the GP10s when they come out.

I finally found a TC&W locomotive, the club that I am in sold me this P2K TC&W GP30. All it needs are lift rings, grab irons, and MU hoses.

Athearn made a CF7 way back in 2004...

Modeling whatever I can make out of that stash of kits that takes up half my apartment's spare bedroom.

I can't recall exactly when, but I believe one of the major manufacturers (Atlas????) did a diesel in the TCW colors and lettering within the last 2 years- it was in an MR ad or article in one of the issues. I am fairly certain I saw it there.

Maybe someone can check this...

This looks like an interesting short line.  After I seen your post, I had to search, and check it out.  Looks like they have a couple affiliated lines, too.  I did find a decal set on Ebay, good for a couple of days, for under $5.  Maybe you can build your own.

Good luck!

Mike.

Does anyone model, or have a locomotived painted in the TC&W? I don't see many TC&W models or layouts. I don't have any units myself but I will buy all three Intermountain GP10s when they come out.
