Well not exactly a yard, but a siding at the Grain elevator. The work is planting all that grain that is growing between the rails caused by some of last years spillage. It's spring, so now it is growing. Tedious work planting all that between the rails. Much left to do, but I am determined to get it done before the real yard work comes along, although I have cut the grass twice already.

NS 2916 spots an old PRR gondola under the magnetic crane at the J&B scrapyard on the Mid Mon Valley Model railroad Club layout in New Eagle PA. The area to the photo right is under construction and will be an oil refinery. The crane is built from the plastic sprues that parts come on, and styrene.

WHen I was working on the Central St area in Sheepscott, I needed something to fill the area behind the front row of buildings and to hide where the tracks passed behind and through the view block. Using leftover parts of buildings from other projects and styrent, I made a deep background structure that represents 4-1/2 buildings in front, a street and 4 buildings behind. Here is in progress picture
And the building(s) installed on the layout. Still some forground buildings to be done...
